So, our response to anything negative should be to automatically escalate the rivalry between ourselves and our foe. Perhaps we should just tell Russia, "screw you. Let's start cold war #2." Just because we aren't allies doesn't mean we need to create bitter enemies out of them. It would seem to me to be a very difficult diplomacy balancing act. But, our country certainly doesn't need more war hawks.

I see that Russia is now firing artillery directly from their country into the Ukraine. Apparently, they now see that there's no reason to keep up any false pretenses.

Yep, every president should follow Ronnie Reagan's wifey Nancy's example and make sure to have their own astrologer (with crystal ball) to give them all the foresight any world leader should ever need.

Short of that, having the CIA, NSA, FBI and every other federal agency with ears on the pulse of the world get a whole lot better at their jobs so they can advise our presidents with more certainty is about the only other thing that's logically possible. Well, then there's guys like Bush 43, who surrounded himself with Neocon geniuses like Cheney and Rumsfeld that had outstanding "foresight", or more like "foresight acquired from an agenda driven planned outcome". Yeah, that worked out really well, lol.

But then again, some of us would have the rest of us believe that we should elect only those folks that got skills like Nostradamus to attain the alleged know-all-see-all-do-all position of POTUS that, by some weird coincidence (according to some folks in this forum) is only required by our Democrat presidents but absolutely not required by our Republican ones.
