I drove 30-40mph, the ground was wet. I didn't need to go fast and this car accelerated very slow.

So you were probably going under 40, again just because the ground is wet doesn't mean you go below the speed limit.

am I breaking the law for not driving as fast as the posted speed limited? :disgust:
I was getting there. for this car I drive, I usually drive 40mph. 1.8L is slow.

Actually you are. It is illegal to go 30mph in the left lane if the speed limit is 40, in most states.

Its also illegal to go 41 mph in the left lane if the speed limit is 40 but no one really cares...in most states.

No cop will pull you over for going 41 in a 40mph zone, but a cop will pull you over for driving 30 MPH in a left lane of a 40mph zone, at least in most states.

note that he doesn't say anything about cop. the statement is true, it is illegal.

lol, you're on crack. If the speed limit is 40, the road is wet and you're going 30 NO cop would ever pull you over based on just that. Stop defending one of the most retarded arguments in this thread.

He said no one would care, like a cop wouldn't care.

Again, going 30-40 with a limit of 40 on a wet raod...a cop WOULD NOT care.

You're missing the point, he said he was going 30-40 mph with a limit of 40 on a road that was wet. He would not get a ticket.

Because most people don't drive below the speedlimit. But I do know people in California who have a ticket for driving below the speedlimit, and one was on an expressway similar to a parkway.

Im not saying people never have or never will get a ticket for going under the speed limit. You're saying its illegal...no freakin duh. That doesn't mean sh!t though. Considering the circumstances and that facts, he would NOT get a ticket.

there was one night that we got snow, everyone was driving around 20mph or less on that road. I was going 30-40 like I normally do. yes, I got totally whiteout.

it doesn't sound like you live in a state get tons of snow.

It was NOT unsafe for him drive the speed limit, the roads being damp doesn't make it unsafe, and by the way the person I know who got the ticket on the expressway the road was wet too. Speedlimit 65mph, he drove 45 got a ticket.

I can tell you won't know how to drive in here. socal people can't even drive in rain.

my parkway here is with all the taffice lights and curves, there is also a stop light for people to pass. I have turn to make, I don't care if that is the left lane.

lol, you ARE on crack. 20mph is extremely different from a max of 10mph under. When normal traffic is going 65 and your dumbass you call a friend was going 45...that is unsafe. When mister "somebody honked me" was only going a max of 10mph under when the general flow is only going 40-45...that is not unsafe. You're completely missing the point me thinks and you really should stop defending one of the most retarded arguments in this thread.

If going 40 was too fast for condition, then why did he speed up when the fellah passed him in the right lane, was it suddenly safer to speed up? and if a cop was behind him when he was riding slow then sped up so cars could not pass in the left lane Do you think he would have gotten a ticket?

I still think the OP is a divck..
