Looking at those pictures, I think a simple lighter would do pretty massive damage considering those threads would go up in flames pretty damn quickly.

Besides these are worms. When you're faced with hundreds and hundreds of angry bees, then that's when you call out the flamethrower.

We have them around here, but I've never seen anything anywhere near that. That's insane.

It's usually just a tuft here and there on at the end of trees' branches.

We used to get those now and then, called em tent worms though because their nests looked like little tents up in the trees. Whenever we got one we'd spray it with kero and burn it, right up in the tree. Never had an infestation like that though.
