Its loud?? But I checked the specs and it has 2 Low Noise (RPM=2200, 25db) Ball Bearing Fans. Now, I think 21db is a whisper, so 2 25db fans can't be that loud. Can anyone else confirm that its loud??

measureing noise level isn't like measureing length, twice the db isn't twice as loud it's insanely loud. if i recall correctly 25db sounds around twice as loud as 21db but i'm not sure on that.

It has a 3.3V+5V combined max power of 180W and 12V at 120W. I got an OEM version of this and it works fine for a Duron 1Ghz. The fans are quiet and do work well but if you don't care for the color I would suggest you get a quality PSU. Try Enhance, or TTGI. I want one of those TTGI ones with 3 fans.

180w on combined is pretty bad for 400w.

enhance 350W gives 220w at 3.3+5

Forget this. Get a well-hung PSU like the EG651P-VE. I've had it runnnig 24/7 for a year now. 550W of power and two ball-bearing fans that run very quiet.

If you go to the "See It" links for both the PM-S400 and PM-S400AB, you will notice that both have the same exact label (including the part number of PM-S400). This would indicate to me that it is the same power supply except for the exterior.
