Unofficial daily update:

*We're FINALLY going to overtake another team in 8-12 hours.

*The Windows version of the new WU is still crippled compared to the old WU's, thus the lower than expected scoring.

*Validation is still lagging quite a bit, many of us have tens of thousands more points than what's showing.

*biodoc is likely to jump from TeAm 3rd to TeAm 1st in less than 48 hours and there's nothing I can do to stop him. ( )

*Less than 4 days left to go, crunch on! EDIT: A LOT less than 4 days, this one ends on the 12th so we can have the option to do the PrimeGrid Bday thing Ken_G6 just posted about.

Sorry folks for not posting stats yesterday.
My internet was down for more than 18 hours. It turned out that the fibre cable was cut when digging for a water pipe. :-(

10th place? So we haven't moved at all?

Looks to me like we've secured 9th place and gained a point.

Now the question remains, which project should be the last leg? One which gives us the most increase in points? One we have not crunched yet? Please let me know your preferences!

I also propose that we do a similar effort in October/November, when the temps outside are falling and we can run GPU-projects for all of us ...
I can keep track of the stats then too!

Thanks for the stats petrusbroder! I think you didn't post stats yesterday because you didn't want me to see that you have passed me.

No points to be had perhaps, but I'd personally like to go with POGS.

Thanks for the stats
Maybe we should revisit Leiden Classical as we have lost points on that on which we could probably get back.

I would like to see POGS as the next leg. It's the reason I built my new box. Thanks for the stats, Peter

The fibre cable had no business digging for a water pipe!

I had to do it, Peter, because I had a smartassitis relapse :whiste:

RT, it looks like you've added some serious hardware to Universe!

I borged a cloud, a dark gray cloud laced with lightning bolts and thunder rolling through the valleys! I found it drifting somewhere over Tennessee.:whiste:

Here are the stats of the Trophy Belt Race - Universe@Home leg:

The Universe@Home race:

The total standing of the Trophy Belt race:

The total points crunched during the race:

Congrats Biodoc to the win of this leg.
Well done RudyToody to a great race! You really jumped high this time!
Well done, TeAm, in this race, although the reward was not as high as I (or we) had hoped.
OTOH: the TeAm has produced a lot of points! A staggering 49 722 552 points!

Let us discuss how to use the final leg to get the TeAm more points - see post below.

Well, the race is still very interesting. Biodoc has the chance to win if he gets 5 points more than TennesseeTony. Salvorhardin can win too, if TennesseeTone gets zero points and salvorhardin gets 10 ...

The TeAm has to produce more than x points to gain y points

Project ______ Y ______ _______X _______
CAS@Home : for 2 points: _ 177 858 points
__________ for 4 points: _ 370 334 points
EDGeS: ___ for 7 points: _ 388 476 points
Gerasim: _ for 2 points: _ 114 039 points
__________ for 4 points: _ 991 790 points
Leiden Cl. for 3 points: _ 333 639 points
__________ for 6 points: _ 938 560 points
MilkyWay _ for 2 points: 4 315 679 points
__________ for 4 points:20 849 293 points
__________ for 6 points:40 561 483 points
Universe@H for 2 points: _ 133 111 points
__________ for 4 points: 1 415 833 points
Yafu@Home_ for 2 points: ___ 9 040 points
__________ for 4 points: _ 874 616 points
__________ for 6 points: 2 174 974 points

Please state your preferences!

OTOH: GPU-project is probably not the best idea now in summer...

I am considering in organizing a similar race in October/November, just before the 10th Annual Holiday Season Folding@Home race - which will be a jubeelee! A decade of racing in Folding @Home! There are some racers which have been in that race 10 times!

EDGes sounds good to me, since I didn't have my new rig ready in time for the first go-around. I'm staying on Universe over the weekend to enjoy more of Crunchers' Heaven.

Please DO organize an autumn race petrusbroder! You're hard work is always appreciated!

Here are my ramblings for the last leg of the race:

Based on current output of other teams:

Leiden: Could overtake P3D and likely CNT. Each is worth 3 points.

Milkyway: Tough sell without massive GPU usage. We might overtake Overclock.net once they get passed by P3D.

EDGeS: Take on SETI.USA? Are you crazy? I am. Close race though...and worth 7 points. Ah drats! No work units right now. I was wondering why the scores were only double digits.

Universe is not a bad choice, but we could score more at Leiden Classical, so I'm voting for Leiden Classical.
