Member ZOXXO and myself went out this past Sunday on a quest to "find" some good pictures, and I wanted to share my favorite out of the bunch. The following was taken about an hour after sunrise. D50 with 18-55 kit lens bare, manual exposure at 34mm.
I originally uploaded this without much PP done, but after ordering a sample print from mpix.com of this shot and seeing it in print, I decided to touch it up a bit. I adjusted white balance quite a bit to take out a lot of the warmth, the entire picture looked too orange for my tastes. I also decided to quit being lazy and took out an electric pole and 2 or 3 lines running all across the left side of the picture (I should've done this in the first place). Although the mpix print was just a test of their quality, it was still a $4 print (+ship), so I've learned to be absolutely sure of a picture before spending money on it .
