When I first saw the post here I thought it was some kind of a lame joke, couldn't believe it...


I'm not from USA myself, but my thoughts are with the people in New York and Washington - I'm sure the rest of the world will be thinking about them too!

This is unimaginable. I must be strange but yet all I can think about... all that is running through my head is what will the retaliation be. I am afraid I fear more of what will come of revenge then what has already come to my own country. People saying nuke the middle east, and yet I picture some one posting to anandtech, building his first PC, someone from the middle east as innocent as I or one of the passangers in the planes. Someone must be held accountable, but must the death toll rise into millions with nukes and blanket bombing? Must it? What then... what would the retaliation of that be.

I feel very bad for everyone who has died, what a terrible day. I hope my friends in NYC are ok.

They are gone. The two 110-storey World trade towers have been completely destroyed after planes ran into each of them. They both stayed up for a while, but they both eventually collapsed. Fifty thousand people work in those towers. This is surreal.

There is nothing left but rubble and choking dust.

A NY official stated that there could have been easily 10,000 people in each building working at that time. I also read that between both buildings 50,000 people could be in those.

A truly sad day.... I'm feeling sick....

I am not going to say who exactly did this; it very well could be a Islamic Jihad terrorist group. But instead of waiting for the truth, CNN and all the news networks are practically preaching that is must've been middle-eastern terrorists. MUSLIM middle-eastern terrorists.

This is a huge blow to the Islamic community inside the US. I can imagine how many dirty looks I'll be getting in the next few days from ignorant Americans who somehow think I have a direct relation to the wackos who just killed thousands.
