Anyone ever read Clancy? In one of his books he wrote about a Japanese pilot who took his 747 and flew it into the Capital building during a joint session of Congress, killing most of America's federal legislators. Seems like an eerie prediction now. I wonder if there is a cause and effect relationship. I wonder what Mr. Clancy is feeling right now?

I haven't read the posts yet, but WHAT THE F*CK is all I can say!! One moment, I'm in college, the next moment everyone's going home cause of something that happened in New York. As soon as I get home I turn on the tube, and see a huge fireball where the world trade center used to be. WTF!! Airports are closed.. schools are closed.. downtowm Montreal is being evacuated.

Did a world war just start?

God... I have family in New York. My great Uncle works in the WTC. This is really bad.. we need to blow the s*it out of whoever did this.

I believe Nostradamus predicted the war would start before the new century started. He said small stuff will start around mid 1997 and by 1999 end war should be in full pace.
If Nostradamus were to be believe - man we are in deep trouble. Acc to him, 1/3 of the world would be non existant. And war would end around 2003, and the biggest superpower of post 3rd world war would be a country surrounded by water on 3 sides. I really don't want to believe him but I am afraid.

I thought it just looked like the weight of the top part, when it fell, was enough to collapse the rest.

All of the emergency personel seemed to think they would probably fall as it was, so why do we think bombs were needed?

In Athens Georgia outside of the federal building there, police have found a stolen Uhaul parked in front of the builiding. They evacuated the building. Heard it on local Atlanta radio.

This is just a very sad day.

I don't know about you, but I would be happy to be drafted and to go and die for what those people did to THOUSANDS of american citizens. Some people have put the death toll in the tens of thousands. This is so unreal... I was at work today...just five blocks away from the WTC doing my usual morning routine, then I saw papers flying in the air .... I couldn't hear the first boom, b/c I had my headset on. A few minutes later I hear this loud boom... that shooked the whole building. So I looked outside a window and I could see fire shoot out the side of the building. The next explosion when the tower collasped wasn't as loud as the second one, but you can definitely tell it sounded differently. The moment the dust cloud started coming down the street...and you saw people running away, everyone just ran to the exit. It was weird stepping out on the street, it looked like a warzone.. you see dust, abandoned vehicles and some women's shoes. The moment I heard the second tower collaspsed on the street I just ran as fast I can. I'm just glad I didn't live that far... from work...otherwise I would be stranded too.

My co-worker's gf was at the world trade center when it happened and she said that everyone rain for the stairs after the first plane hit. So hopefully most of the people got out before both towers collasped. The messed up part was the first floor stair door was locked...so they had to knock on the doors on each floor until they took an elevator from the third floor.

Today is perhaps one of the longest mornings I don't want to remember.
