This is actually a declaration of WAR by someone on the USA.
Well, it looks like one anyway.
I wish broadcasters would not invoke this kind of rhetoric on the air because everyone starts using it.
A "declaration of war" is something very specific - remember that we never "declared war" in Vietnam & we certainly made more than three attacks there.
When you "declare war," a nation brings the full might of its military machine to bear on the other party.
What about when a terrorist group "declares war?" Certainly not the same thing, but perhaps this is what we have seen.
