I'll be spoiler #2. I have a limited amount of time each day to read through posts. Thus, I have to seriously limit the number of categories I look through. That means I'll never see another YAGT thread, I'll never see another Programming thread, etc. There are others like me. Each thread will have far fewer people reading it, and thus, the quanitity of replys will go down. That means less crap replys, but also fewer important and relevant replys.

I've seen a smaller forum disintegrate due to too few replys after diversifying too much. Hopefully, it won't happen here since we are bigger.

But I'm glad you won't have to hit the next page button and sort through gaming questions.

dullard, I understand what you're saying. Maybe it should be remerged, but support certain keywords for each threads. That way, we can define what we want to see within the old forums. We could filter what we want to see or sort on them. The people who never read or wrote in certain thread type could choose to never see them, while people who are interested can still see all of them without having to go into a subforum.
