A question about my headphones

I was given a pair of Sennheiser HD 203 a couple of weeks ago, and i like there feel they are great one of the best i have owed. And here is my problem i tried using the 203's pluged in to my speakers and it feels like the right side speaker seems tp output the sound at a higher pitch and i was wandering why that is. I mean it does sound pretty much even when i plug it into my Ipod or radio. I was going to use these to replace my Sony MDR-V150's but i not happy that they aren't producing the sound properly. I wonder if it is because my current speakers are 2.1 and the 203 are meant to be played on a 5.1 speakers.


Other Notes: I have my speakers currently hooked up to my computer then i plag my headphones into the jack that is on the speaker. I also own a pear of HD 238 and they don't seem to have this problem.

Maybe the plug isn't seating well in the jack on the speakers. try plugging them into the soundcard on the pc. If it has a headphone jack use that.

Doe the speakers have any balance controls on them? are they set centered? same for the computer software?

It is also possible they are sitting slightly different on your ears at times causing the sound to change.

It's a common issue for speakers' headphones outs to not be able to take regular headphone plugs properly. Usually the sheath of the plug is too large for the sunken headphone jack on the speaker. Try using an extension cable that seats completely into the speaker headphone jack and see if that helps.
