A QUESTION FOR HL2

CAN THE GAME BE PLAYED WITHOUT A KEYBOARD?? I HAVE A FRIEND WHO IS DISABLED WHO CAN ONLY USE MOUSE.... HE'S THINKING ABOUT BUYING IT... ANY WAY?

Then hold down Shift, it'll un-Caps Lock your stuff. And no, you pretty much have to use a keyboard.

mouse1=+fire
mouse2=+use
mouse3=+jump
mouse4=+forward
mouse5=+back
scrollup=scroll through inventory
scrolldown=+duck

You'd have to keep scrolling down to stay crouched.

Only thing I'd see that might work would be a joystick of some sort (3-axis) with multiple buttons... you need to be able to aim and turn and adjust vertical movement... as well as reload, jump, crouch, action, etc...

why don't you press the keyboard keys for him and he can use voice commands on you for movement

I think this would work:

Mouse 1 = Fire
Mouse 2 = move forward
Wheel = weapon select
Wheel button = sprint/boost
mouse 3 = Use
mouse 4 = Jump
