^^ Holy shit dude that sucks. But do those nice A* leathers have the ability to fit over shorts/slacks on my way into work? Otherwise I will end up walking around my work complex wearing redic. looking leathers until I can get to the bathroom to change...

Not really, no. You can wear skinny jeans under them, and shorts if they're not too bulky, but it really makes movement awkward. Other leather pants might well work better. I just change when I get to work, although I realize that's not an option for everyone. Still, I believe you can some textile gear that will fit comfortably over slacks. It would likely be in the touring section of whatever store you're looking at.

^^ Well honestly, I'm not going to work to impress people (I'm an engineer.. it's all old dudes and nerdy little bastards). I will gladly walk around in leathers for a little bit and change in the closest bathroom, then have to spend hours and hours in agony if I go down. I just need to make sure the leathers went very well because I'm not a huge fan of nutsack and swamp ass...haha.

I think I will look around some more, maybe give the CS on cycle gear a call.

What about riding shoes? You see the motoGP dudes always wearing the A* full boots..but is that really needed? and B, doesn't that look even more tool-ish riding around with basically a full leather suit on, but street riding? I'm not out to look cool, I want to be safe and have fun..but..ya know..That almost sounds going overboard.

Riding boots are very important. Sneakers offer zero protection, they are the first things to come off in a motorcycle accident and then you're scraping along the pavement with bare feet yet I see guys riding all the time in sneakers, dress shoes, flip flops, etc.

Riding boots will not come off and they will protect your feet plus race boots will keep them from twisting and turning in directions they aren't meant to twist and turn.

I don't think it looks tool-ish at all. I rode to work this morning wearing my Sidi Air Vertigo boots, I always wear them or my Sidi Doha boot if it is too cold for the Air Vertigos. Worn with riding pants you can wear the pants over the boot if you like. I probably have around 15,000 miles on these boots. It is a great boot and well worth the money.

On the motorcycle, I always wear my motorcycle boots. Sneaker\shoes are in the backpack if I need to do some walking at some point.

^^ Point taken. Okay. How about these items to complete my full leathers ( I already wear full leather gauntlet gloves with kevlar knuckles, etc.):

Oh P.S. I kind of want the gear to look good/match my bike, so here is the color scheme of my bike...

You might have to get that jacket custom tailored so that it zips together with those pants.

^How and where? Other suggestions?

I'm not sure about all brands but with brands like Dainese and Alpinestar their jackets won't zip in to each other's pants.

Most pants come with the top half of the zipper so you can sew it into a jacket. I don't think it is particularly difficult... just something to keep in mind when matching leather pants to a different brand jacket.

Edit: I called support. Basically they said to just buy the same brand of pants and jacket. So what about these pants here? They aren't leather though...but the only other good icon pants are like 300 bucks and that is pretty steep for me. Will these be enough protection if I hit the ground??

How about those A* boots in black? Good pick? If anything, I want to buy those first. As horrible as it will be.. I can live with road rash on my legs..But I'd strongly prefer to keep all my toes and ankles unbroken and in working condition. Then I will buy pants.. then a new jacket (already have a black/grey A* jacket, but it's tight as shit and old).

Nylon works fine but is a one time deal usually as far as crashing goes. Meaning it will protect you reasonably well but it usually ends up being worthless afterward so you can't use it again. Leather holds up much better and is usually durable enough to survive multiple incidents and still offer decent protection.

Well, I want something very very soon. The leather pants are just too much money right now. I can probably afford them later on in the season, but for now I want something better than jeans. I will probably buy those pants and the A* boots.

nothing wrong with mesh, especially in the summer. As was stated before, Mesh is a one time ass saver. If you have comprehensive insurance on your bike it'll cover your gear too so if you go down and need to make a claim you can at least get reimbursed for the mesh pants as well.

Considered Bulletproof or dragin jeans, They are kevlar lines so offer some protection but still quite casual. Can be found cheap on some common internet auction sites
