I was just thinking about what our prehistoric ancestors used to do by making a circle of stones around their fire. Even after the fire had died, the stones kept and radiated heat for hours in the cave. Now put that idea in reverse and move forward 30,000 years. Buy 2 or 3 ornemental stones or bricks and put them in your freezer. When they are cold, take one out and place it in half a hamburger styrofoam container millimeters in front of your intake vent. That stone will take a lot longer to get warm than, say, a bag of ice would. When it gets warm after a few hours, simply bring it back to the freezer and replace it with stone #2, which will cool your intake while stone #1 is getting cold again. Since your freezer is working anyway in your fridge (or if you have a separate freezer), you won't be consuming much more energy if that is a concern (eg. if you live in California).
Might be worth a try to get a few more MHz in the summer heat and not have to *ack* underclock your Tbird.
I don't know if condensation might be a problem but I think it could be avoided by placing the stone a couple of mm further away.
So Sneaky that cold from your freezer to your PC.
