Please list in order and keep the words to a minimum....

List as shown in example....(ofcoure this is not a c1, but bare with me)

SL code:
Packing date:

1.6a@2.53ghz w/ 1.52v (max temp at default or closest you can get, mobo varying)
1.6a@2.74ghz w/ 1.71v (max oc and vcore)
4BDA (latest bios)
512mb corsair pc3000 @342mhz cas 2,2,2,6 2.6v 1:1 ratio
350 watt Antec
+12v = 11.74 idle 12.04 load
+5v = 4.92 idle 4.94 load
vcore = 1.71idle 1.66 load
cpu temp: 39c idle 50c load
system temp: 24c idle 27c load

prime95 tested: X
memtest86: X
3dmark2k1: X
Sandra (spit!!): X ( sucky tester, but some use it)
cpuburn: X

anything else I forgot??? Let me know....Lets make this as scientific as possible, and get good date we can analyze.

I'll test my 2.4 b0 when I get it up, probably by monday, for comparison.

Edit: just got everything up, I tried it at 2880 (18 x 160) and it would pause on the Sandra 2002 burn in test, I dropped it down to 2754 (18 x 160) and boosted up my ram speed (its at 405 cas 2 (i believe)) and it seems to be working good so far. May have to drop it down though.

Update: I just bumped up the voltage to 1.65 in bios which is showing 1.63 in the bios monitor and 1.616v in CPU-z and I got the following overclock. I am going to try for 167 x 18 (3006) tommorrow.

My quest for 3.0GHz is over and I am now waiting (like everybody else) for GB. I have observed better OCing on the older 845E board and i think its due to the voltage regulation. The Vcore voltage is steadier on the Giga board (with its 3-phase VR) than on the Asus board (with its 2-phase VR). I'll definitely be going Gigabyte for GB. As well, Easy Tune rocks. Lots of things can be tweaked from the Windows desktop and then can be saved. It's a great utility for me because i only run overclocked for gaming or benching anyways.

Those scores look awesome...still waiting for my 1.8A to come back from Intel. I hope it is a C1 Stepping.

My C1 should be here by next week, but still have to wait for GB.

Oh yea guys, try to mention what cooling you are using. Like Intel stock hsf or water cooling.

Cheers.

Edit: 12/12/02
My CPU from Lukfilm came today.

Not a c1 overclock, but just for comparison purposes:

P4 2.4 Ghz, 533 FSB

SL code: SL6EU (b0 stepping)
Packing date: 11/01/2002

2.4B@2.80ghz w/ 1.55v (157 x 18.0) <-- 100% Stable
UPDATE: 2.4B@3.00ghz w/ 1.7v (actually runs around 1.68v) (167 x 18.0) <-- Not 100% stable, trying to get it stable at this speed
Epox 4PEA+ (Latest BIOS, C02)
Retail HS/F + stock thermal paste (Might run better with Artic Silver)
512MB Corsair XMS PC3500 @ 390Mhz CAS 2,2,2,5; 4:5 ratio, stock voltage
512MB Corsair XMS PC3500 @ 417Mhz CAS 2,3,3,7; 4:5 ratio, stock voltage
350 Watt Enermax PSU

+12v = ~11.98-12.02v
+5v = ~5.0-5.05v
Vcore = ~1.6v load ~1.68v idle @ 3Ghz
CPU Temp: 109F idle, 145F load <-- Is this dangerous???
System Temp: 85F idle, 113F load

Prime95 tested: X
Super Pi tested: X

I'm still burning in at 2.88Ghz right now, I'm not 100% sure of its stability at this speed, but I'm pretty sure I can get it to stabilize. I figure I'll get some more speed out of the processor as the thermal paste settles and the processor burns in. (Processor has only been running for 1 day so far).

Can anyone tell me if the temperature I've got the processor running at currently is dangerous? I've heard most people say that the big problem with the P4's is voltage and not temperature, so I figured as long as I stay under 1.7v I'll be OK?
---
UPDATE: Got this sucker to boot up at 3.0Ghz with 1.7v on the motherboard (EPOX undervolts, to this is actually around 1.66-1.68v idle) ... Not too shabby for a b0 stepping P4 eh? Gonna probably put on some Artic Silver 3 today and see if I can get the temps down a little lower.

UPDATE 2: Put on some Artic Silver 3 that I had lying around from my last overclocking attempt (Athlon XP 1900+ .. Didn't get it to go anywhere though so I left it at stock); My load temps at 2.85Ghz (18 x 157) are down from 145 to 127!!! The AS3 hasn't even had more than 30 mins to "bond" with the processor, so I'm hoping the temperature will drop a bit by the time I finish! 3Ghz here I come!!

Yeah well....
I got the same 1.8a as you guys above me...I have a shitty one I guess
its the SL6LA stepping
stock voltage stable at 2.62ghz yeah and um 1.7v its only stable at 2.71ghz
Mobo, epox 4pea+
PSU ANTEC 350WATT blue lit one.
argh...thats it

gonna take it back tomorrow and get another C1 if they wil let me do exchange, they had 3 of them.

How can I identify the stepping of my 1.8A ?
I'm too lazy to take it out of the vapochill.

Thanks

That i845pe seems to be a common point among a lot of the rather low c1 stepping chip overclocks...WE need to get someone to get a 1.8 C1 on a proven winner like a Epox 4G4A!!!

well, Im gonna get an exchange on this chip, see if I can take it further....
cause I m ean my board only runnin at 150fsb the PE should be able to go to 165 or so....that I will be happy with.

=( me so sad...

so, is the 845G chipset a better overclocker then the 845PE or 845GE?
someone said to get the EPOX 4G4A+ instead of my current EPOX 4PEA+

is that true?
