"The welfare programs Wal-Mart workers rely on include Medicaid, subsidized housing and SNAP..."
"A 2002 survey by the state of Georgia's subsidized healthcare system, PeachCare, found that Walmart was the largest private employer of parents of children enrolled in its program."
"Hundreds of Maine workers employed by Wal-Mart are enrolled in the states public assistance programs, including Medicaid, Food Stamps, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, according to data released by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services.
Wal-Mart tops the list both in terms of total number of employees receiving benefits751and what percentage of the companys Maine workforce this represented."
You're right, Wal-Mart is the one dong the sucking by not paying a wage enough to live on so other tax payers have to subsidize the employees salary. So even if you do not shop at walmart you still pay towards its profits.
