Griotech, youre right but this is the Hot Deal Forum. Put up your dukes and go fight for your money back. $200 is alot to lose. Sue Fed Ex or NewEgg I say. Get a friend who knows law to write some threatening letter to them to get your money back or you'll tell the Islamic Liberation Front theyre enemies of Islam. That should work.

Moderator PLEASE LOCK THIS THREAD - wrong forum.

<< i have no idea wtf you are smoking
i ordered many things from newegg
and each and every single time they required a signature
heck, i tried putting a HOMEMADE note to tell them to leave it and they wouldn't do it
>>

Same here I bet you have a sig-waiver on file, not new-egg.... every time I have got stuff they require a sig, Allmost wish they would just leave it

I forget but I think there is a federal law that applies disputing your credit card charge if you never received your package. Of course you have to call the company first to try and work things out with them and if that's no go then you can dispute with your credit card company. Of course I could be wrong but I think I remember correctly.

I had a similar thing happen. So I just got on my credit cards website and filled out a form. Then I called the company and complained...and it was fixed.

almost every credit card will dispute this. But Fedex should and will have no prob with this. They'll just rearrange with newegg. no $200 lesson. Sounds like you are ready to give up before it even started.

btw...why does the status of your fedex trace show "No signature required - release waiver on file" sounds more like you have signed a waiver in the past with fedex to waive ALL future sigs.

and yes...this ain't no hot deal.

lock bait.

WHAT? You ordered something...then left for a week? LOL...WTH were you thinking?
It is pretty despicable to bad-mouth 2-good companies when there was original sin involved!
You really ought to change the name of this thread to: "Gee...WTH was I thinking?"

1. This is indeed not a hot deal and belongs in a different forum. Thus it should be locked
2. In defense of badlands, how is coming to this thread mean he has no life? Think about it. If he is in hot deals he probably has or will or plans to order from newegg sometime. Why shouldnt he be concerned if he notices this thread?
3. Griotech, thanks for the warning but instead of posting the circumstances again and again, why dont you get up and go call newegg? Or at least send them an email. And for $200, just call in sick one day if you really need to call (as opposed to email) newegg. Clearly you arent that rich that you can say, o screw it i dont care about my $200 since you bought a duron. Even if you are the one who screwed up and signed something w/ fedex (and you claim you didnt) it is still worth calling. So... instead of spending your time defending yourself and complaining and saying theres nothing you can do about this, take the advice of the people here and go make yourself some more money over the weekend with your great consulting job and call newegg on monday.

Griotech, since this thread isnt yet locked, and since you dont really seem bothered about losing $200, and since you didnt seem to put up much of a fight, could I please have $200 so I can buy a second monitor for my studies at college?

Thanks in advance. I accept epay. paypal. Pm me if youre feeling generous ok.

<< Personally I wouldn't trust a consultant who can't even orchestrate a simple delivery. Don't you have friends/neighbors who can accept the package for you? Or heck, deliver it to your workplace. >>

LOL. how very sad but true.

Gee, such a silly problem and yet you can't resolve it.
Fedex or Newegg IS Liable, and one of them WILL cover the
cost of the LOST package.

<< The real question is, why would you order $200 worth of parts right before you were leaving town (or while you were out of town) for a week? >>

Additionally, if a signature would have been required on this order, FedEx would have returned for 'x' number of times. After the last time, the item(s) should have been shipped back to NewEgg.

This situation kind of stinks for you. Hopefully, between NewEgg or FedEx, a resolution will be made in short order.

And for you people attacking this person's credibility because he's a consultant... and should have orchestrated something as simple as a NewEgg delivery from FedEx, I have one thing to say: Puhleaze!!

Not sure about Newegg, but many companies will let you track shipments. If you aren't going to be home, leave a note and Fed Ex will not leave the package, or visa versa. I actually prefer for them to leave the package, most of the time.

If you aren't going to be home, you can request that they leave the package at their station, usually not too far away, and you can pickup within a few days.

If you cant get money from FedEx or NewEgg if im not mistaken you can get your money back from your home owners insurence. One of my friends had a similar problem with some crutchfield speakers and he was told that he could file a claim with this home owners insurance.
