We start with default clocks and we will update with Overclock later.
Please tell us if you want any other benchmark or game that we both have. It will only must have a build-in benchmark so we could bench the same thing.

The GDDR5 version.

It is 64 bit @ 5 Gbps for 40 GB/s bandwidth.

So Athlon x4 860K + GT 730 has more bandwidth than A10-7870K with DDR3 2133. The Athlon x4 860K/GT730 also has (or should have) more CPU due to the lack of throttling under GPU load. But A10-7870K has more GPU core.

So I was very exited to see how this comparison would turn out. Thanks to AtenRA for making this comparison happen.

I wonder if they even sell GK107 models under the GT 730 name?

I suppose this card could be interesting if cheap enough, it's keeping up well with the 7870K, so it's a lot better than using Intel IGPs, specially the ones older than Skylake.

but someone could end up buying a Fermi card, or 64bit DDR3, so it's hard to recommend a "GT 730".
there are much faster ans safer cards to buy for a little more.

Yea, my HD7770 is barely adequate for modern games, and appears to be at least 50% faster than either system in this test. I am strongly in favor of using a discrete card on the desktop. I just dont buy the huge loss in performance to save a few bucks. Only place I see for an APU on the desktop if a SFF/Steambox type of system.

Like your post is necessary, they already said "It will only must have a build-in benchmark so we could bench the same thing." so these benchmarks are only comparing graphics cards,the 7870k has a stronger GPU in most regards so testing is pretty much useless.
