Duvie, my sempron is of the 90nm process. It's a Palermo core, which is basically a 256KB L2 cache winchester with SOI. Can I not vote?

Back in the old days, when people used horses instead of cars, and washed themself with a bucked of water instead of of taking a shower, I aircooled my 3200+ and used 265x10 daily. When I tried to impress people, I would pull it all the way to 278x10 Wouldn't bench much at those speeds though...

One thing I'm quite irritated about is that I can't seem to get the damn Prime95 to work! Even below stock speeds on everything I have got of hardware, it stops after a few minutes... Anyone else with the same problem?

No water cooling or vapo/prometia.....I SAID AIR!!!!

Man I will just flat out call bullshit. A water rig isnt going 3.5 h and sub zero cooling would have the temps lower than what he shows

one comment I have about OC's. My two run at 2.3 or even 2.4 and even for hours. But neither can run for 3-5 days straight using F@H and not have early unit end's at more than 2.2 (one is a 3200, one is a 3000) What I really wonder is if those running 2.6 or better can run F@H for 5 days and no early unit end's !!!!

Most people don't care about 24/7 stability. I run various DC programs, so 24/7 stability matters to me very much.

I can clock the CPU's much higher then what I normally run my machines at. Reason being is that I don't want to have to baby the computers while running any 24/7 program.

My old 3500+ did 2.60 stable on a Neo2. I think the voltage was somewhere betweeen 1.5-1.55V.

My 3000+ is Prime and memtest stable at 2.595GHz, 288x9, 1.50V.

I did 7 days at least with no end units at 2640ghz.....I haven't ran it at 2665ghz but I do have .04v more of vcore and the HTT is lower...I think it would do it just fine....

I have 48hours stable at 2.64ghz with prime95 and 62hours at 2.61ghz....

2640 running 11 x 240 @ 1.5 in bios gives 1.52 in Asus PC Probe & Sandra 2005 on air (See Below) 29 Idle, 43 Under full load.

I can get 2699 running 11 x 245 @ 1.5, but the system runs "sluggish", stable albeit, but sluggish.

90+ now and where is that punk-biatch sentinent or whatever his name was...said only 2% of winchesters get to 2.6ghz....Got 30+% now and even if some are not all stable I dont think it is 94% of them.....

Actually, that's a very good idea, Duvie. It'll be nice to know how SOI and 90nm is doing for the socket 754. It should give overclockers more incentive to dive in. Will you do the honors?

The honor is all yours...I think that way you know about this stuff and can try to put conditions on who you want to particpate in the poll....

Clock for the clock the sempron is a beast...just look past those damn pr rating BS....a 2.5ghz sempron appears to run close to a 2.5ghz A64 in cpu intensive apps...the only plavce it may lose and lose only slightly will be in apps that can take advanatge of 512 or even 1mb of L2 cache and the 3-5% dual channle can give in just the right apps....
