Man I'm tempted to buy it and see if it'll allow multi manipulation like the Barton-M's do. If it is a hand picked CPU I should be able to get a sweet overclock with it and the exposed core would help as well! Do I or don't I?!? :clock:

So how does it ramp clockspeed? I don't keep up with the Intel mobiles so school meOriginally posted by: PorBleemo

From the looks of the chip AMD has gone Intel's route and eliminated bridges. You would probably have to do everything with pin mods.

The Barton Mobiles are unlocked, where that would be useful with the A64 is boosting the multiplier so I could do higher clockspeeds without overclocking my ram and PCI bus. The IHS being absent allows for direct contact with the core which will result in better cooling despite manufacturers sometimes claiming otherwise. The hand picked part means that the mobiles can do the rated clockspeed on less voltage making them better overclockers, but with these A64 mobiles it looks like it's the same Vcore so that probably won't be applicable.Originally posted by: Regs

Can you explain to me why a A64 with no heat spreader be of use? I really don't get it, lol. I can guess on "hand picked" meaning its rock hard stable. But what did the Barton-M's do?
