A7M266 and APM

anyone have the asus A7M and working apm function...i have it set to go on standby and power down the hdd's but it never does...cpu fans and all stay running , the power led blinks after its been idle for 20 mins but nothing turns off other then the monitor.

The Windows settings will always over-ride the BIOS settings in things such as APM, I would try setting it through control panel "power". If you've done anything in your startup (via msconfig) you may want to check the start up tab to be sure that power items listed as "load power profiles" are checked to be sure that the power profiles are loading.

well i meant that i have applied the settings through the windows power manager in the control panel...i havent adjusted anything in teh start up...just loaded windows adn set up the hardware and stuff like i normally would do...but i'll check the start up

power profiles is ticked .....i unselected and the reselected and applied ...maybe that will work....anyone else?
