A7N8X Boot Prob

I just got the A7N8X and for some reason, it will not boot my computer. There is no sign of activity on the monitor, the keyboard blinks once and is non-responsive, there are no beeps, tried to take out everything but the CPU, and nothing proved any beeps or the likes. The pcspeaker is hooked up, though im never sure which way the connector goes, nm, the speaker works both ways.

I have tried switching RAM, GraphicCard, doublechecked that the CPU is installed correctly, wiggled the AGP card, made sure the AGP power connector was connected, removed all hds and cdroms (serial and power), cleared the CMOS (the way the manual tells me to).

My hardware that I would like to install is :
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro
2x Corsair 3500 CMS CL2 512MB RAM
120GB WD 120JB
SB Audigy Gamer
AMD Athlon 2400+ T-Bred

Tried a GeForce 2 GTS Pro, and ONE stick of 512MB 266 ram and my old Mobo was an A7V8X Deluxe

The only thing I can recall doing wrong is connecting the USB2.0 to the gamecontroller, but that shouldn't have done anything, since I didn't connect any USB devices.

Nothing smells burnt, and the hardware above worked just fine (well not really, but alteast it booted).

Try using a stick of non-Corsair RAM, go into the BIOS, manually set the timings to 2-2-2-6, save, then exit the BIOS (do not SAVE & EXIT, save first and exit second). Allow it to go through one POST in that configuration, then shut down and put in your Corsair.

edit: while you're in there, disable the onboard audio, the onboard gameport and the onboard MIDI port if you intend to use your Audigy.

No I can't even get anything to work, it will not even boot into BIOS, yet alone show anything on the screen. The fans spin, LAN blinks, HDs spin up, the correct AGP lights, but noones home.

Did you try with a stick of non-Corsair memory yet?

Yeah i did, I can't get the thing to do anything except spin fans and act as if its on no matter what I do...

If your WD hard drive is on its own cable, make sure to set it to Single Drive. I know you tried without the drive already, but this could compound things

What power supply are you using (brand and model)?

its a 400Watt PSU Powerman I think, Im gonna try one more thing : i think maybe my case card rail is too high, thus not letting the AGP card far down enough...

im taking out the A7N8X... damn card didn't do me anything except cause a headache and deprive me from gaming...

I'm having problems with the A7N8X as well, flashing the bios I get a 'cannot find bios hook problem'.
