A7V266E owners... noticed higher temps?

Had a couple other KT266A boards with a XP 1800 and a PAL 8045/40CFM Panaflo. Idle was right around 27-28C and load was 35C. When I switched to the A7V266E, i noticed my temps were much higher. Jumpers are set for palomino and the temp/themcpu is not on reserved (if I set that jumper on 2-3... end up with some screwy temp readings).

Since the other boards I have added a 92MM side intake blowing on the CPU (43CFM Panaflo), 53CFM Mechatronics fan and a Swifty MCX462. Idle is right around 36 and load is 40.

I know most people have been reporting higher temps with the A7V266E, but I was wondering if they had an idea what was going on?

Thanks

i have also noticed higher temps....i had an msi k7t266 pro2-ru before this and my temps (w/ stock hsf) and my temps were 29-30 celcius and on the asus board (a7v266-e) it is 45-49 celcius. i have noticed that regardless of what i have the vcore jumpers on (cpu default or any of the other settings specifying a voltage) my vcore settings in the bios are only 1.800, 1.825, and 1.850.....i dont have the choice of 1.75 (which is the default specified by amd for the 1800+....even if i set the jumpers on the mobo to 1.750/1.725.....any ideas....i think part of my temp probs are the fact that my vcore is .05 volts higher....

Yes, I setup a XP1700 with the msi k7t266 pro2 and his temps were about 10 deg. lower, with an inferior heatsick and fan, compared to my XP1800 and the A7V266E with a SK6 and 30cfm Delta.

Heyo

my A7V266-E runs at about 32C idle and 50C under load - XP1600 not o'ced.

Haven't had any problems that seem related to temps. Want to bring it down regardless. Have a Globalwin WBK38 plus intake / exhaust fans etc, in London - i.e. not that warm at the moment, and don't have central heating on (for other reasons )

Ugh, here we go again...

Once again: Different AMD mb's read temps differently. This is due to various factors, such as: Socket-thermistor placement, Motherboard Manufacturer applied compnesation to the reading, etc. You also need ambient case temp to effectively compare temps.

Asus boards "read" higher than other mb's. This doesn't mean they're more accurate, but they do give a better representation fo die temp, since socket-thermistor's read low.

I read in a reveiw somewhere that the new asus board would read almost 10 deg higher.
Think its because of the thermal sensor under the cpu
