A8N-SLI Bios

According to asus website this is still at version 1001, whereas the delux version is at 1003.

My question is this, are the fixes in the delux version just for the delux or are they for the std pcb as well, as some fixes may also apply to the std motherboard such as AMD64 ident etc?

I had the same concern and finally asked ASUS the question. Their reply says:

"Thank you for contacting ASUSTek UK Technical Support Department.

The BIOS for the two boards are written together now, so all changes made to A8N-SLI Deluxe will also apply onto A8N-SLI, it is just that A8N-SLI Deluxe has been made earlier, thus has higher version number even if they have the same change. Hope this can help to clearify the question further.

This is rubbish. I've been following the discussion of BIOS features on the deluxe board and they are not in the production 1001 version for the non-deluxe board...... how could they be the 1001 BIOS for the non-deluxe board hasn't changed since LAST YEAR! I've replied to the mail to this effect, but I expect to get another brush off.
