A8N-SLI Deluxe - IDE RAID?

Just set up a new system with the A8N-Sli Deluxe mobo, I've got a 160 Hitachi SATAII hooked up to SATA-1 on the mobo and a pair of WD 80GB IDE HD's on the Primary Master and Slave (I've got a CD-RW and a DVD-RW on the Secondary Primary and Slave). I've set the Primary and Secondary IDE to enable at the NVRAID section in the BIOS and I've built the RAID array using NVRAID and it posts as a Healthy RAID array. Here's the thing, WinXP doesn't see it. When I installed the latest nforce drivers I was on WinXP SP1 (due to the install CD being that) but have since got all updates including SP2. I know its not a power issue (brand spankin new Antec Neo HE 500W).

Any ideas? Thanks.

Did you do the F6 thing and install the Raid drivers off of a floppy disk?

oops. probably should have clarified that. I'm using the SATA drive as my boot drive and I already have WinXP installed on it. The 2 IDE drives I use for data. The computer is up and running with all the current drivers installed. Minus of course the IDE RAID array.

Does disk manager see the array?

not sure which disk manager you mean (sorry). But the NVIDIA RAID setup finds it and says its healthy. In windows the 2 individual IDE drives show up in Device Manager (but not under available drives under my computer) and I also have an Unknown device as well hanging around. I think that's prolly the RAID array that it doesn't know what to do with. maybe?

I have the latest NVIDIA nforce drivers and NVIDIA graphics card drivers.
