I can not here sound on my new rig using onbaord audio and do not have a sound card available to test with. I just have a 2 speaker setup through one jack. Everything else works fine and has passed stress tests and burn-in. The drivers are up to date and it is enabled in the BIOS. Looked in the sound options but can't find a setting that I may just be missing, I am at work and can not look at it right now but wondering if install NVMixer may be causing a conflict? Any ideas I can try at lunch?

Volume turned up?

Proper drivers installed?

Correct source of output to speakers?

Make sure the setting are right with the software that points where audio needs to go to(port wise).

I had a simular problem. You have to setup the speakers in one of the audio programs. By default it is set to powered speakers. Also it is very easy to have the wrong plugs for the speakers. Another problem I had.

You probably killed it with your "burn in"

Usually you can get static (popping) in the speakers by plugging them in and taking them out of any of the plugs on the sound card... if you don't hear any scratching or popping sound, the speakers themselves might be dead. Just a thought...

By Burn-in I mean stability test, never had sound before that process either. Nope no scratching noise and I have tried differnt speakers. It is onboard by the way, realtek AC97. Thanks tho.

Yeah me too but I check everything in the control panel under sound and audio and did not see anything more substansial than changing # of speakers to change and configure.
