A8N32 DOA..but Fixable maybe...Please Look...FIXED YAY

So the board comes in and I proceed to do the easiest, fastest, and cleanest looking build of my life...pop in the hot new RAM, the 57, setup RAID 0, install windows, and kill power to install more stuff. On post, my BIOS settings were gone. At the battery, the two pins that release the battery were bent, and I guess the board is losing contact with the battery, thus killing my BIOS. Have a look and see if I can bend them back, or if this is a larger problem that needs RMA'ing. I know the board had to have come this way as I am severely anal about putting them in. If anyone can send a pic of what these pins should look like maybe that can help.

Do you like mixing in special effects on your photo's, or are these the way you made 'em...? Not really sharp... But if you have another mobo, check how the pins are on that one (it's just the same), and I'd try bending them back carefully...

EDIT: It might just work... BTW the jumper for the "Clear CMOS" is in the right position?

It is different than on my a8n sli deluxe, the premium, and my DFI expert. I am looking at all three and scouring the web for close ups of the A8N32. If anyone has one, please please photo for me!

and in regards to the pictures, they are untouched. It was direct overhead halogen light, no efects.. if grainy,its because the images were 16.7 mp before i cropped them. i just dont have the lens to do this type of shot.

And yea, the jumper is in the correct place

Yea, so you were correct when you said they are the same. Thing is, if this piece broke off (the release support tower i will call it, the black part that is tallest and at the bottom of the case) it has broken so cleanly that I nor any friends who have looked knew it was ever there. There are no jagged edges, just two metal strips that travel look like they used to be part of the mechanism that holds the battery in place.. i think i can rig it, rather than wait for monarcg to get more in stock.. I got the connection working once with a little pressure, but without my assistance, it doesnt hold

If you think it'll work, why not? Maybe you could still exchange it (for another reason or so) within a couple of months, when there are more available...

Exactly what i was thinking... but for now, i fixed it by bending the pins that were sticking up and making contact with the top of the battery... I know for sure that this issue is not resolved permanently, but I will worry about it after they are more readily available(and before warranty expires!) if anyone wants pics of the fix, just ask.... i will check back and do so if there is interest.
