My A8N-32 did a terrible job of detecting timings on my G.Skill PC 4000 ram. The auto timings actually made it fail in memtest virtually immediately. I have manually set all the timings based off of g.skills documented settings. Now everything works running memtest86. to 100% with no errors.
The problem though is that according to CPUZ, my ram is running at 133mhz(CPU/15)!!! instead of the default 250mhz. However in my bios it says my RAM clock is 250mhz, and under memclock clock setting, i switched from auto to limit, and set the limit to 250mhz. Im running the latest bios 1103.
Could this be a CPUZ error, and is there another way to verify my speeds, or is my bios configured wrong?
If CPUZ is correct, then can anyone tell me what to change in my bios to make my ram run full speed. Because 133mhz is obscenely slow for PC4000 ram.
*edit* ok so aparently if i limit my memory to 200mhz, it runs at 200mhz. If i set it to 233, i get 143, and at 250 i get 133. Lowering the timing below 200 runs at whatever setting I choose. Any ideas why the timings of 233/250 do not run properly?
