1) Look in the mainboard manual for the location of the cmos reset jumper.
2) You could also disconnect the power cord and pull the coin battery out for ~15 min.
3) Sometimes you can power up and hit the reset button on the case multiple times to reset the cmos.

Nope, just make sure you disconnect the power cord first to be on the safe side. You should have a reset jumper and all you do is move it up or down one pin.

My monitor is displaying that there is no signal coming from the computer. Wat exactly is the NT to SB setting change? I thought it was sumthing to do with the cpu thats why i changed it.
I also have had a problem with my monitor yesterday. It is a crt. I turned it on and it made a popping noise and when the screen came up it had a greenish tint to it.

thanx

No signal means the monitor is OK, but it's not getting a video signal from the pc since your system is not posting. Reset the cmos and don't o/c so high next time.

Thank u for the help, it is greatly appreciated. I found in my manual where it says how to clear the CMOS RTC RAM data. How exactly do you remove the battery, it is hard to get to in my case and i dont want to ahve to take out the whole motherboard, can i use a screwdriver to pry it out? or is this something that varies from MB to MB?

thank u
