Hey guys,

I called AAA, when my car's battery needed changing and while the AAA guy was here, a container full of some oil (hydaulic fluid i think) leaked onto my driveway. He had a bag of kitty litter in the truck and as soon as he saw it, he proceeded to pour the kitty litter over the spillage to absorb it.
(Do they all have kitty litter in their trucks? or did he know about the leak and just was not careful enough?)

Long and short of it, its a new half a million dollar home and the stain is a HUGE eyesore. You can't miss it as you pull up into the driveway. So, I'm gonna call either triple A or the dealer that sent the tow guy.

My question is what's the best way to tackle this?
Should I call triple A or the dealer?
And do you think they (either AAA, or the dealer) will do anything?

Thanks, just looking for advice because it's a heartbreaker of a stain....
And we have 2 gold AAA cards in the household.

Thanks in advance, for any advice.
AJ.

Good luck with getting either party to do anything.

Most tow trucks do carry "kitty litter" as it is used at accident scenes to clean up fluid spills.

I'd let it go, and by this time next year it'll be so faded, and mixed with other stains you won't notice it.

Clean it yourself.

Neither.

Nothing, except you'll have the pleasure of hearing howls of laughter from the other end of the phone when you call.

If you have kids, have them step on the litter and grind it into the oil. Although kids like to spin on the litter, you don't have to do that. Save your dignity.

Sweep it up.

I wish I had nothign to do with my time. Must be nice.

Where do you live that half of a million is alot? That gets you a 1000 sqft ranch in the "nice part of town". Hell, that won't even get you a quarter of an acre on the water where I live.

I'm surprised no one has called the op out for calling AAA to his house to change out a car battery.

Ha, come to Toronto. My cousin lives in the Danforth area. Half a million gets you a shoe box with no driveway. You might get street parking if you're lucky.

The best stuff is the kitty litter. Not actually kitty litter, but it's oil absorbant stuff. Pour some on and grind it in the concrete with your shoes.

Maybe you could just take care of it yourself? I know that's un-American. I know...sue!

Taking care of it myself would be more Un-American, you're confused. I pay $130 a year for 2 premium tripleA cards. And LOL, I'm not sueing. But I will stand up for myself and have them come back and wash up the white mess from the kitty litter and maybe kitter litter it one more time. Sometimes you gotta have a backbone. I once had my wheels slightly scratched when having tires put on. I MADE THEM rechrome all my wheels for free!

To do nothing is weak. Very Weak!
To do something maybe will result in that dumbass AAA guy tightening the caps on his fluids and/or store them properly in the back of his truck.

OP needed to make a thread to brag about his expensive house?

Grow Up!
I live below my means, max out my 401k and save. Do you?

Maybe they will laugh. Then I will hang up and physically visit the dealership or closest tripleA location on my day off.

What they gonna do, call the cops if I don't leave without resolution ?

Guaranteed results. (for all you that doubt me, grow a pair)

You should clean it before it gets on your Lambo.

Not a Lambo, but it cost me more than my last apartment (in new england) did. Chew on that! moron.

Seriously. LMAO.
AAA will visit you when your car won't start and change your battery if needed. And if you have an existing AAA battery, it's free replacement for under 3 years. Mine was 3 1/2 years old so i got it pro-rated (i paid $85 instead of $115). And best of all, the new battery's 3 year free replacement warranty starts again. Not bad eh?

Why get my hands greasy and waste my time when I don't have to?

Seriously, half the responses are dumb-assed/immature responses.
Anyways,

Thanks for all the helpful posts though

Since your parents bought you the house, ask them how to clean it.
