God my school administration is soooooo retarded. OK, to understand you have to know how the parking lot is laid out.
The top is the entrance side, the = signs is the edges of the parking lot and the PERIODS are where you can drive through, the aisles. The dashes are the medians

OKAY NOW THE EXPLANATION

In the back rows you arent allowed to park supposedly, for some odd reason. I can understand, on the side with the small x's underlined that is where some busses wait after school, but the other side is just empty. the front area has no parking spots, that is for bus loading/unloading in the mornings and afternoons. The front right(bottom right) area is parent drop off so you cant park there either.

THE SECURITY IS SOOOOOOOOO STUPID. THERE ARENT ENOUGH SPOTS.:|:|:| I park in the back left, where there are no busses or anything but I've had to move my truck 4 times already... they say "there are plenty of empty spots" ARGH!:| NOT WHEN I GET THERE, I have first 3 periods off high school campus. Then they threaten to ticket me. ugh. I'm gonna find out if there really are enough spots per parking permit issued. I think I'm just gonna start parking in the front row where you're not supposed to. My english teacher is pissed at me also because I've left her class for 20 minutes at a time 4 times to move my damn car. I dont understand why we cant park in those off limit spots either, i mean once the parents are done dropping kids off, we should be able to park there, right? well, they are too stupid to do this because it would be unfair or some TOTAL BS... ugh

:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|:|
siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh. aaaaaah i feel better ranting about this. I have the stupidest fooking administration at my school. (btw this post took me like 25 minutes to make)

At my campus, good luck even finding a spot. You'll park so far you'll still have to bus to get to school!

As for me, I got myself a nice spot in the staff lot. A small perk for working @ the same school you attend

Or at some schools you pay 700+ a year for a parking pass that is half a mile away from campus.

Man, when I went to High School we never had enough spots. So, I just parked my car in the striped zone or up on the grass. The admins called me down and I told them to piss off because there weren't any other spots and if they wanted to fine me, then they could just tow my car.

The jackwads never towed it. They never even put a sticker on my window or anything. They had cops out writing tickets on exam day when everyone is illegally parked and right as the cop finished the car next to mine, I drove off.

At my old high school, the lots would fill up in about 15 minutes. The only other option was to park in the neighborhoods around the campus. However, parking in the neighborhoods was a ticket-able offense. So either you get to school really early and get parking, get there late, take your car back home and walk to school, or get there late and pay parking fines.

hehehe, we only pay $60 for parking permit. BUT we have 30,000 students and only 18,000 parking spaces. First through fourth day of school at any time there are 1,000 people looking for a space. Its mayhem.

Thats why when I was in school, High School and College alike, I parked in the "Staff" of "Teachers" Lot. Saved me from alot of headaches.

in my old high school, you had to pay $100 a year to park. and they had to limit it to seniors only because of the demand. otherwise they would have had 1500 sophomores/juniors/seniors buying spots you were also given a tag to hang and had an assigned spot.

for some reason all the really popular kids ended up with the first row of spots next to the school..i never figured that out

That shoulda been expected. I mean, you come 3 periods after everyone else gets there (roughly around 3 hours after), and you want the best spots in the lot? Right. At my school they put up a bunch of satellite parking spaces, to make sure that there are enough spaces. Of course, you have to walk a good distance to get to the school, but it's a space.

Often students without permits will be parking in your spots when you paid for the permit. My old HS would tow your car so it depends.

Ont he other hand you don't need a car in HS. You can take the bus, cars are status symbols. If you have a job you can take the bus home then get in your car. Its not a necassity. In college it is.

I'm going to have to disagree with you. While parents should NOT, NEVER, EVER buy cars for their spoiled children, if HS students buy them themselves and they have a long commute (some of my friends had to drive an hour to get to school, there are a lot of magnets back in my home county), and to ride the bus would take twice that. I think in those situations it's fine. Plus some people's parents work and the bus doesn't come around their area.

1) There were no parking lots at the school

2) The hitching post was only for the buggy.

3) The back field was fenced in so the transportation would not graze away.

4) Why can you not walk to school?
