aaaah my computer is seriously screwed... please help

Alright, now my computer is seriously messed.
When i turn it on, no signal goes to the monitor. The monitor is definitely on, but no picture goes to it.
Is this a symptom of a cracked core or what??

First thing I would do is clear the bios. Can do this different ways. Either find your bios jumper and set it to clear for 5-10 seconds then back to normal, or some bios are cleared by shorting the cmos by placing something metal over 2 solder points WHILE the computer is UNPLUGGED. Check your mobo manual for more info.

Make sure the monitor is working. Hook it up to a working computer and double check that it works.

Make sure the video card works. Hook it up to another computer and double check that it works.

Make sure the CPU is seated properly. Take it out and re-plug it in.

Make sure the wires are connected properly. Try disconnecting everything and just connect the basic things you need like video,power,one HD, and thats' it. Dont connect other devices. Sometimes if they are busted they can cause a short on the system and the system might not turn on.

Try reseating your video card. Some monitors, when not plugged into a video card will display a no signal message. Try un hooking it from the card and see what it says. If you get nothing, then your monitor maybe screwed.
coki has the right ideas if you can swing it.

Hurrah it's fixed now.
I swapped it for another card and it worked.
Went back to my original card and then that worked (?)
I guess it wasn't seated properly.
