But it's not happening. Even with 50%+ of the market, Android ecosystem is in a world of shit. Developers are apathetic to the platform because there's no money to be made on it. Paid apps suffer from
rampant piracy. What do you expect from an audience who gets three phones for the price of one?
Comparing Android vs iOS to Windows vs MacOS is disingenuous. Never was there a time where Windows was completely fragmented the way Android is. Never was there a time where developers could not make money on a Microsoft platform.
So, mass adoption with regards to Android equates to next to nothing as there is almost zero correlation from device to device, OEM to OEM, and carrier to carrier. Android may have a pretty big marketshare but it's a catastrophic failure with regards to ecosystem and tying all together.
