Speaking of phone sizes, I just have a small blackberry pearl that has a small screen, so I can pocket it if I'm wearing shorts. Jeans, not so much as those pockets tend to be too tight and it would crush it. For those that have bigger phones that is all screen, how do you keep it on you? Do you just use a holster at all times? I can't imagine pocketing a phone like that as it would put lot of tension on the screen.

I managed to keep a samsung tab 2 in the back pocket of most of my pants/shorts

"BetaBeat reports that people are pretty much falling over themselves to mock Apple's cheesy new Genius ad campaign, using zingers like 'intellectually cheap,' 'cringe-inducing,' 'borderline smarmy,' and — perhaps the unkindest cut of all — Microsoft-worthy — to describe them. Apple's trilogy-of-terror ad lineup includes Mayday ('An Apple Genius shows a fellow passenger how easy it is to make great home movies with iMovie. All before the tray tables are returned to their upright position.'), Labor Day ('An Apple Genius shows a soon-to-be father all the amazing things he can make with iPhoto.'), and Basically ('An Apple Genius points out there are a lot of things that separate a Mac from an ordinary computer, like great apps that come built in.'). The Atlantic's Jordan Weissmann says Steve Jobs would be appalled by the new ads, which certainly don't fare well in a head-to-head comparison with Think Different

So stupid. People ruthlessly maligned the "I'm a Mac" ads as well as the "Switcher" ads (remember all the controversy over the "stoned" Ellen Feiss?)

I remember all the complaints about the "I'm a Mac" ads. How they backfired by making the PC seem likable and the Mac seem like a smug prick. Same complaints being lodged against the new ads but with Jobs gone everyone is quick to claim Apple lost their mojo. What bullshit.

Fact is the iPhone 5 is going to be the #1 selling smartphone, like every iPhone before it. It will break sales records and earn Apple a fuckton of money. Nothing changed including haters gonna hate.

The ads are trying to sway non-mac users to mac. Mac users will hate it. Non-mac users who hate mac will hate it. PC users who know nothing about mac will like it. They probably dont know about computers in general. So, the ads are effective to the market it is after. No one is going to abandon mac just because of the commercials.

Want to mock a commercial, how about this one for the Nexus 7. Not only does it steal its ending from a now airing Foldgers Coffee commercial, it's pretty deceptive in making it seem a device lacking 3G/LTE could do half of what's shown in the commercial. Yeah, we get they are in the backyard the entire time but unless you have a commercial repeater the ad is 100% bulllshit.

I think the more damning point is nobody gives a shit about the Nexus 7 ad because nobody gives a shit about the Nexus 7.

No those ads were strategic and well placed. Vista was a turd of an OS and Apple did a good job of exploiting that. They preyed on the bad things windows is known for and were converting people over that way

The new ads are just stupid. Editing video? My mom can do that movie maker, what's frustrating about that? What would make her move over from a PC?

The iCloud ads are miles better.

You can go to an Apple store and have them teach you how to use iMovie for free.

Where are you going to go learn how to use movie maker?

Now if your mom can figure that shit out herself, great, but there's a large segment of the population out there that wants someone to hold their hand through the process...and Apple is fucking GREAT at that.

I have a Samsung GS3 and I have had no issues with keeping it in my pocket in jeans, shorts or dress pants. It's large if you consider only width and height, but it's also very thin and lightweight; it actually weighs less than my old flip-phone, which was also hugely fat by comparison and harder to fit in the pockets of my tightest pair of jeans (which aren't all that tight, to be fair). Truth be told, the GS3 is so thin and lightweight that I don't actually realize it's in my pocket and find myself doublechecking just to make sure I haven't left my phone somewhere. If you're wearing spandex bike shorts everywhere, yeah, you're going to have some portability issues, but that's probably the least of your problems.

No. Just sending a little hate back at the droidtards who ruthlessly shit on Apple products because hot girls with iPhones won't talk to them

You live in some sort of fantasy world. Steve Jobs is pretty amazing, he can distort your reality from the afterlife too.

My 21 year girl cousin and her friends have been switching over to the Galaxy phones.

And lets be honest, that's a huge part of iphone markets. It's all downhill for the iphone from here.

People with money, i.e. adults, are buying more iPhones than ever.

The negativity surrounding APPL stems from the collusion of Streeters pumping and dumping the shit out of the shares, who, in reality, are all bullish on the company; they know how to feed the rumor mill with negativity to maximize their returns.

APPL is one of the most successful and admired companies in the world, that's plain to see. To portend death simply because easily manipulated and uninformed troll bloggers or fickle teenage girls are buying competing product strikes me as, well, stupid.
