This is just as effective as that ab cruncher where you hold this contraption on your abs and pull in...what a joke!

Thats not a deal. Thats regular price.

But believe it or not, i've tried it. I dont know if it will improve my six but i'll definitely say it does something. That thing feels like needles poking at you as it shocks your abs into tightening and releasing. Its a totally odd sensation but after a few times you get used to it.

The real hot deal is that target has a 90day return policy. So buy this thing at target, use it for 3 months and give them the sweaty nasty thing back exposing your gut as proof that its probably defective.

Why waste $59 when u can get an abgymic for $20 or less. Just got mine today from ebay.. or most online sites sells it for $20. It's the same as fast abs and ab energizer but without the gel. U can use any gel or lotion and it'll work just as well. I dont know if these things work... Have to report in, in 2-4 weeks. But it does have that tingling feeling and u do feel ur stomach pumping. OR do i need to use the bathroom? I dont feel sore after the device unlike doing cruches and leg raises... Oh well.. we'll see..

Strange as it seems, these do work.
A friend of mine bought one and it wouldn't fit. About a 2 inch gap.
He had to attach velcro to the ends so that it would wrap around.
4 weeks later, and velcro is gone, and there is now a 2 inch overlap of ends.
So that is a loss of more than 4 inches I guess.

He claims the secret to making it work is use it an hour a day, while drinking a cold beer and watching TV.
No joke. It works just by doing that!

Or you could just have a friend punch you in the stomach. Your reflexes will cause you to tighten your ab muscles and he'll get a workout at the same time. This thing is junk. If you want ripped abs or a washboard stomach, you need to lower body fat. You could have the strongest abs in the world, but if they're under a big gut it won't matter.

I hurt a muscle in my upper back about 2 weeks ago. A friend loaned me his "Dr. Ho's Muscle Therapy" device. It's a little box with a couple of LEDs and two flat pads on the end of a head-phone like cord. I hooked it up and got the bee stings or whatever you want to call them from the tiny electric shocks... but after a couple of minutes my muscle started to respond and this little gizmo went through a cycle of different pulses and "massages". It works pretty well!

Just for grins, I hooked it up to my stomach. I could only take about 10 minutes... it was weird and agonizing! I probably should NOT have set it to the highest setting first time around, but my stomach muscles were SORE afterwards! I haven't tried these ab specific products, but if they work anything like this, you will definitly get at least more toning from using it. At some of the hardest contractions it was hard to breath because you have to use your abs to inhale!

Now I'm thinking of either getting a Dr. Ho's (for all around muscle use) or maybe one of these ab specific models.

I have Fast abs, I have to say, it works. I have been using it for a month now, I have a Visable 6 pack. I did not have a Gut previously, but I didn't have a 6pack either.

Now for the bad news, the batteries need to be replaced once a week. (I use it for 1 hour a day, on full power). Also, you must use that Gel, or it will sting like a mother. And at first, dont use full power. Use on a low setting, then move up. Finally its tough to concentrate while using it, so dont expect your Counterstrick game to be crisp while wearing the belt.

Oh also, on a side not, I have also been working out a lot lately. I don't do more than 30-50 situps a day though. BUT, I did the same workouts before, and I never had results like this.

<< can you substitute anything for the gel they give you, or do you have to use their gel?? >>

Yeah. I did my research because i didnt want to spend on gel. The most cost effective gel replacement for us cheap people is... wet paper towels. Another one I read about (but havent tried) is KY Jelly (???).

Just make sure you use something though because if you use this dry on the higher settings then you will get burns.

Your friend would have to punch youin the stomach repeatedly for 10 minute sessions twice a day.
Anyway, this isnt necessarily junk. I agree its not a replacement for excercise but it does do "something" if you mix it in with a proper diet to lose the body fat. Remember, bruce lee used something similar to this to stay in shape. And look where he is... (wait. thats a bad example)

<< Thanks! This will make a GREAT gift! >>

If you're giving it to a chick then prepare to have that thing strapped on your head and set on high.

"Oh. An ab energizer. Thank you so much honey.*SLAP*"

I've never used one of these ab shocking exercise products, but using electostimulation is used in physical therapy.

I had a shoulder injury and was sent to physical therapy to strenghten it. The machine they used was much larger (had to be pushed on a cart).

I guess this also answers the question about "Any alternative to the gel?" question. The machine had four pads and at the bottom of the pads were a thin square of spongy material. All the therapist did was wet these down and placed them on the smaller stablizer muscles.

The way she explained it was that the electricity causes the muscle to contract and release. Ultimately, it fatigues the muscle to the point that it has no choice but to relax.

Yeah, Bruce Lee did use this technique, but he also worked out some six-eight hours a day (weight, cardio, martial).

I'm interested in hearing back from more people w/ a review of these products, tho.

I've actually seen an article somewhere that says it doesn't work. I think it's because the informercials keep citing some university study somewhere that was vaguely correlated.

When did REGULAR price become a "deal".

Got one 2 months ago. DONT expect much from these. They should be called Ab-Massagers.

The first day I got it, I used it 3 (10min) times on full power. Felt like a massage, nothing else. After a week, felt nothing. No sore abs, no feeling of a workout. These are little more then the newest "Get Fit with No Effort" trend.

I never once felt like I "worked" out with this thing. A good 20min REAL workout doing crunches does more then days of this little gizmo crap.

Must be the "X-Ray" glasses of the 21st century.

Do yourself a favor, buy a real Ab-Machine, where you have to work out. You will see results.
