Abercrombie just needs to be fair, that's all. If they're going to mock people, mock everyone equally. Yeah, introduce a "white trash" line of "wife-beater" t-shirts, trailer loungewear and "shiat-kicker" boots, with such slogans as, "Open season on relatives". Don't forget the inner city "gangsta"-wear to capture the "ghetto" look, maybe some kind of "Crips vs. Bloods" themes or something with pre-made bullet holes and bloodstains to simulate that "post drive-by feeling". And just so they could get another shot in, introduce a line of clothing to mock Latinos (who incidentally are the fastest growing minority population in the US), maybe with some taco t-shirts or "I no speaka ingles" prints or something. Yeah, those will all fly big time with everyone.
Whatever. Oh, and to the genius who mentioned that all their salespeople speak English - wake up. If we (meaning Americans, regardless of racial affiliation) are truly to enter the global arena/marketplace, would it hurt us to broaden our horizons and speak other languages. Most Europeans speak at least 2, if not more. If we really want to get involved with the rest of the world, other than trying to save a few bucks by outsourcing, maybe we should try understanding different points of view. Being a optimistic person, I don't think that most people are racists, just racially ignorant. Which thus leads to the insensitive, mildly offensive things that get printed on t-shirts or published in magazine articles. People just don't know any better, and then are surprised by the uproar.
Then again, there are people who just get their panties in a twist over anything and everything. Some people need to be a little "less sensitive". Some of the funniest things are going to be offensive to someone somewhere, unfortunately.
Sarcasm and soapbox aside, these cargoes look like hell. Did they beat them to death before selling them, or is that just the fashion? Old Navy's got some similar stuff, similarly priced here:
Old Navy
But generally, Old Navy pants are only good for a year or so of moderate wear and tear, and then start to fray. I would think the quality on the Abercrombie's are better, but it's tough to tell without going to the store. And like I said, they look like hell. But for $20, a potentially great deal zoiks, especially since Ab's markup is considerably more than Old Navy's. Nice find.
