Had to go out and get an new mobo since my P4P800 came in DOA. So, I get the AI7 home, plug everything in and it won't POST.
I read on the abit forums about the default RAM voltage problems. Default is 2.5V and mine is Geil Ultra PC3200 min voltage 2.55V.
So, will putting PC2100 or something in the board and then setting the vDimm to say 2.6V fix this? And if I have to clear the CMOS, will I need to do the whole RAM switch thing again? If so, I may just pick another mobo, yet again.
Also, when I clipped down the P4 Retail HSF, it bowed the motherboard somewhat. Odd I thought. Anyone have this happen?
The post code I got was 9.0. That's not listed in the mobo manual so maybe it is a RAM problem.
