ABIT AN8 32X??

did this get released yet? can't find anything on it anywhere except the abit site?

seems like the asus 32sli and the abit are only being released in a very small amount...maybe to make way for socket M?

Ya, I can't seem to find this board anywhere either. Bummer!!! I have 2 customers for either of these boards but I'm SOL! But why announce it if their not going to release it? I'm totally frustrated. If you find something, please fire me off a post or email? I'll do the same for you.

yeah, thanks man. very weird.

I really think one of these two things happened:

1. they just wanted to get a product "out" to stop being from blindly going to Asus cause they were the only 32 board out there.

2. asus and abit didn't make too many of these boards cause they are spending time/money/research into the socket M2 and their normal sli boards are selling fine.

just my 2 cents but it's very annoying that you cannot find either of these two boards. well u can find the asus but ridiculously overpriced

Yeah paper launch for now, is what I think, they're saying here it's COMING, but it's not out for sale yet, after all if you look at the right side under "Support Information" you'll notice everything is greyed out except "Processor Support"

I'm sure we'll be getting this bad boy soon. Can't wait, I just bougt a KN8 SLI, but as soon as I can get my paws on one of these I'm getting it.

By the way when someone gets one, PLEASE let us know how it's running.

Man Abit boards are great, I'd take them anyday over Asus, or most others. Anyone who has never used a Abit board doesn't know what they are missing.

I heard rumors of Abit going bankrupt, if this is true this is going to really suck, they are the only motherboard I use.

Don't have any for the moment, but within two days I should... Have a couple of friends with Abit however, and they aren't complaining...

ABIT does have some financial problems but if it ever got so bad as a bankruptcy filing I imagine they'd allow themselves to be bought out by another company before that happens. Just a hunch on my part. Also to be fair ABIT isnt the only mobo manufacturer to have a paper launch on the A8N32. MSI and Gigabyte does as well. ASUS is the only one that didnt although they had very limited supplies in the beginning and still do to some extent.

although the asus a8n32 is limited in supply, this will ease (in addition to pricing) going forward into february. also msi's k8n diamond plus is widely available in market (for US at least). abit USED to be a great company with great products, now all i see from them are so-so products with launch timeframe always lagging behind everyone else. i used to be a fan of abit mobos and owned several boards with my current ic7-g being the latest and last abit i'm buying. my guess is instead of being bought up, abit will just go away like many of the other tier2 mobo manufactures. what they were known for back in the days with their mobos has now shifted to other brands like dfi. that's my take.
