Abit BH6 (BX) video upgrade

Hello to all.
I was about to order the $65 DDR Geforce from Newegg and it dawned upon me that the card might not work all that well with an older chipset. My trusty BH6 is running an overclocked cb0 stepped PIII 700 (933) and an original V550 TNT. It?s a wonderful combo but I'm not sure about the compatibility with the new stuff. Isn't the BH6 rated at only 2x AGP? Will the BH6 use the new card to its full potential?

No it shouldn't be a problem. I am have been running a GeForce DDR on my Abit BE6-II for almost 2 years now on a 133Mhz fsb. 2X AGP shouldn't matter that much the card will just default to 2X.

I just put my old Creative OEM GF2 GTS 64 mb in my son's BH6 rev 1, it runs great.

i have Radeon 32 DDR with my cely 950.

i got Geforce 3 ti200,,,, wonder if ill get much boost in performance....

Just a point of reference, i just put a Ti200 in my BH6 and had no problems. You're right about the AGP only being 2x, so i'm sure i'm not getting the full potential out of the card, but it does work, and very well.

The card will work just fine and is a very nice upgrade from a TNT. AGP 2X is not going to hurt the performance.
