I just got my Abit BH7 and my intel Pentium 4 2.4ghz B version processor in the mail (mentioned it in the thread regarding the Abit mobos and in another thread regarding my overclocking setup). I used to have a 1.6a overclocking setup before, and except for a new Antec 430 watt TruePower powersupply that i have used in other systems and that i know works and the mobo and processor mentioned above, all the parts are the same (HDD, DDR RAM, DVD-ROm, Floppy, etc.).
Here's where my troubles started. I had installed a heatsink that required the original heatsink-bracket to be removed (Alpha PAL8942). I know my cooling system is great because i have this heatsink coupled with a thermaltake SmartCase fan 2. However, i turned on the computer, all the fans work, the mobo lights are on, and then, after like 3 to 5 seconds, it shuts off, without showing a thing on the screen. My Radeon 9700pro isn't to blame, because its working great. Does anyone know what my problem might be? (i suspect that i might have done something to the processor)
-Also, once i get this up and running, in this thread i'll report my results because the person who started the Abit mobo thread in this category wanted me to.
Thanks for all your help everyone.
