Just got my IC7 board from IC7 board from Newegg (it is not an IC7-G). The newegg description very clearly states that it doesn't have a NIC, and the pictures of the board on the site clearly show just a large, solid chunck of metal by the USB ports where you'd normally find a NIC. This is what I fully expected to get.
However, the first thing I saw when I opened the box was a NIC on-board. I am positive this is the IC7, as it says IC7 on the large green sticker, as well as on the bar code of the board. However, it's version 1.1 of the board (not of the BIOS), so I wondered if maybe they just use the same basic parts as the IC7-G and just disable the NIC somehow. There is no option in the BIOS to turn it on (or even any mention of a NIC being on there), and windows doesn't pick it up either (not surprising). Anyone know if there is a hacked BIOS or how this can be enabled?
