Does anyone know what board Abit will replace the IP35-E with? Pricing?

Will have a E2180 here tomorrow and going to start off with the GeminII on air but will be on water very shortly....

If I can run the 2180 at 3.4 or so i will be happy as a pig in slop lol......

Of course they had to offer the inferior IP35-V, Abit's own IP35 Pro was doing poorly in sales when IP35E does everything Pro does except for Xfire and Raid.

I didn't notice until you mentioned it. Looks like they transposed the the address number on the rebate and they are handling their own rebates. Their address is 3068 not 3608 on the rebate. I sent mine yesterday. I hope USPS catches the mistake and delivers it to the correct address. I guess someone can contact them to clarify.

Hmmm...I wonder if I should put on the "3068 Laurelview Court" on Abit website or the "3608 Laurelview Court" on rebate form.

I sure hope this not a new "rebate denial" tactic by listing the wrong mailing address.

For those that have the board already have you guys been bothered by the double booting problem? Has it really been fixed in the new bios??

Yes the double booting was the most annoying thing I've ever seen. I'm surprised that Tomshardware or Anandtech didn't talk about the boards, apparently it's widespread on P35 chipset board. The bios 13beta has fixed it and I'm running on it right now.

Well that's just fvcking great. I just sent the damn thing to the address on the form. Now I've got to worry whether the damn thing will make it or not. *sigh*


Edit: Since there is no 3608 Laurelview Court in Fremont (starts in the 3300 range), the rebates may make it anyway.

I flashed to the 12 bios and still had the double boot. Flashed it with the beta 13 bios and it fixed it as long as you dont unplug the PS or shut the power supply off. I am running a E2180 at 3.2 on the beta bios and its rock solid stable.......

I just realized that I mailed out the rebate today and accidentally enclosed the packing slip instead of the invoice. Am I screwed?

EDIT: I just called abit and was told that as long as the packing slip has the SO (Sales Order) Date and the Product name on it, I should be fine. Hopefully. I'd hate to lose $30.

Abit still has no information on my rebate from this deal and told me to wait just a little longer to see if it shows up. Damn abit rebates! :|

Great board, except for the fact that P35 boards DO NOT work with many Western Digital Raptors! I wish I knew this before I ordered this board. Otherwise, I would have ordered a board with a Jmicron/Marvel Sata controller.

I lost a $10 MSI rebate that way......at least it was a small rebate.

I love this board, but two is enough. Just can't buy anymore. Need something new to play with .

Same here from the deal in late november. I called them as I got no response to emails, and they indicated they are back logged on the rebates due to the holiday season. Think they indicated something like 13K they had backlogged (recalled it was a huge number) Either case I asked to see if I should re-submit or call back. The person on the phone indicated they will get to it eventually as they seperated stacks for each rep so some are processed sooner and others later just due to the distributed stacks (which I can confirm as I had another abit rebate that was sent at the exact time that was processed 2 weeks ago). I asked again "should I call back in 2-3 weeks?" They sound hesitent and mentioned even if they processed 100 a day they were unsure if they would get to it in that time frame. I left it at I was going to call back in the end of March (once again purchased in november and sent in the first week in december).
So essentially I'm already past the 12 weeks and looking at another 4 weeks before they "might" process it.
In short anyone expecting a quick turn around on this rebate may reconsider.
