Abit IS7 and P4 2.4c...what type of memory?

I'm planning to get the Abit IS7 and P4 2.4c. I'm wondering about what type of memory to get for allow for decent overclocking abilities (around the 3ghz range). Would I be much better off with PC3200 as opposed to PC2700? Also, what difference would dual channel make? Anyone have any specific brand suggestions that they've had successs with?

I use Corsair XMS3200 and got my IS7 to 250Mhz FSB with my 2.6 that ran 3.2Ghz at DDR400 I used 2x512mb

MY p4P800 that I use now runs my XMS3200 fine at 250Mhz FSB @ DDR400

If you are buying from new, get the Corsair XMS3500, there isn't enough saving to get the XMS3200.

So I'd really be quite a bit better off w/ at least PC3200 (or PC3500) than w/ PC2700? And you think Corsair is the way to go? What about any other brands?

Corsair is great RAM.

As far as PC3500, I thought it was just OC PC3200. I'm not sure though.

THe Corsair XMS series is great. I have 2 X 512 sticks with a ABIT IC7-G running at a 263 MHz FSB. This is with a P4 2.4c.

I'm pretty sure I can take it a little bit higher too

The Aopen 3200 or 2700 from newegg works just fine in in Abit and is (was) fairly inexpensive. You won't be able to see any difference in the performance of Aopen as opposed to the more expensive Corsair.

Caveat: If all you want is a benchmark or bragging rights, then, by all means, spend a lot of $$$.
If 0-60 in 5.9 sec. is more important to you than 0-60 in 6.0 sec., look in your wallet.
Otherwise, look in Newegg.com and search for pc2700 Aopen or PC3200.
