Abit KD7 locking down alot?

I built my son a computer with a Abit KD7 mb, xp 2000 cpu with retail HS and fan, ATI 8500 128 meg, 512 ram, WD 40 gb hd, DVD drive, and Liteon 52 cd-rom.

What the problem is he can be playing one of his many games and the thing will just stop responding. Does this on different games. I have down loaded the latest drivers for the MB and the ATI card, Swaped the ram with my rock steady pc, even swapted out his video card with my ATI 9100 video card with him, still does the same thing. Went into the BIOS and played around with the setting there too. Could it the mother board causing all this?

Sounds like a heat issue. Have you cleaned the case and CPU fans?

Yep, all is clean. All fans are working. I got one in the front, and one in the back. Even made sure they were pulling the air in in the front and out in the back

I evem flashed my BIOS on the mother board.
