I have only had the board for a couple of days, and it has rebooted itself at least 6 times.
XP1700 chip on it running win 2k.

Everything standard. and have put a fresh build of win2k on drive.

This is bugging me big time, as it's rave reviews talk so much about stability, even in the overclocked sense.

I would like to clock the chip later, but how can I when it's doing this without mods.

Anyone had these probs yet, or knows of these problems.

I have NAV2002 and Norton PF 2002 installed plus a couple of other progrmas. No dodgy crap though.

Hey, thanks for the comments.

1) power should be fine - 300w rev2.03
2) Ido have the 6G bios installed. ( 23/11/2001 - VT8366A - 8233 - 6A6LVAIAC 0 6G )

I must just explain one other thing - THIS IS WEIRD

I only get a reboot, after my machine has been switched on for the first time on any one day within 3-5 minutes.
After the reboot, the machine has been on for over 12 hours on the last 3 days, without a problem.
This can therefor be heat related. BUT why only when it's switched on for the first time in the day, then after that its OK.

I am seriously confused.

I hope someone can help me.

What are you cpu, mem and io voltages set at ? also what are memory timings....The reason I bring this up is if the memory is set too high in the timings it may need more voltage,,,,and system would be unstable

check the 5v and 3.3v rails .... is the voltage dipping below 3.3 or 5v....

My 5v rail is at 4.95v..this maybe a problem for me....not sure yet

I switched from a 300w power supply on mine, to a 450w PC Power, power supply and have not had a problem.
Could be from the capacitors getting the juce from when you first start it.
The power supply may not be giving it sufficient juice.
Very few 300w power supplies are recommended for that processor.

Can I adjust the voltage in the bios to help cure this, or is that a totally stupid idea.

I've had similar problems with my shuttle ak31. I lowered my cpu core voltage by .1 to 1.64 until I can order a better power supply. The system is more stable at the lower setting, and I can still run at 138 fsb.
