Abit KT7 BIOS Overclocking question

People, please, i am having a very hard time overclocking my Duron 700. Nothing works. (I unlocked it with pencil).
Could you post your settings on the CPU setup page, so that me, and people like me can do this job right?
I mean multiplier, voltage , CPU FSB/PCI Clock and CPU FSB plus (i dont even understand what this one means).
And please, please, instead of lecturing me on how I shouldnot do this if I dont know what I am doing, please just give me some advice i can use.

They do not always unlock the first time, Try a different pencil too..

Set FSB to 100/33 x 5 User Definded to start and see if it take and you boot at 500MHz if it does your unlocked ..

yes, i did that and I am unlocked. I booted at 500. Now I need some valid settings so I can out them in and overclock. Everything that I tried failed. Ups

your 700 should go at least 800 ... so try 800
8x100 if that works go up one at a time until you hit your max...
if it doesn't post...you could turn off the back for a while and than turn it on holding the insert key ... and go into the bios and change the voltage...going 1.85 at first won't hurt...if you have good cooling...

nothing really difficult since you got the multiplier unlocked (just cuz 5x100 works doesn't mean it's completely unlocked ... )

Just to make sure you know where to go.
Get into the bios
Go into SoftMenuIII
At the top where it tells you the frequency, do PageUp or PageDown until the number turns into User Defined
Select your FSB and Multiplier
Go down to the CPU voltage and PageUp or PageDown to change this to User Defined also
Now if you need to you can change your voltage, only do this if needed to make your system stable.

Sorry, made assumption board was a KT7. Other boards will be simular, but just different enough to confuse a first-timer.

Have you tried upping the front side bus? Say to 105 or 108 and did that work? Heck even try 101 or 103 with that low of a change it should post at spec voltage. Also check and make sure speed hold has been disabled. Also try cleaning and then redoing the penciled line. I remember reading that even though a MB will see that it?s an unlocked CPU sometimes if the line isn?t just right it still won?t work, has something to do with the line having too much resistance. Anyway upping the FSB should work. I?ve never went above 1.8v well not yet anyway. I also can?t see good enough to draw the darn line. I have an 800 Athlon at 112 x 8 giving me 902 at 1.8v. I?m rambling good luck!
