Abit KT7 Raid

I just returened from my weekly computer stores run. I was in the local PC Club and looking at the prices on motherboards. Right in the middle of the display was a Abit KT7 Raid board, all of the other motherboards had price tags on them, the KT7 Raid didn't have a price listed. So I asked the salesman, he said it was $199.95, I told him that he was nuts, and the board was overpriced. He then proceeded to explain to me that, yes the boards are cheaper ordering over the internet but you couldn't find them. What a load of b.s.
Also like Comp USA they have a 14 day exchange policy, even if the board is defective. These guys must think we are all brain dead, I can imagine the job they do on poor computer illiterate folks just looking to buy a decent machine. Just my .02 C. Radarman

That's cheaper than my local shop, they want $199.99! I asked if they were getting the non-RAID version. He said no because the ASUS A7V is the same thing. Yeah sure. I'll take that A7V that has Softmenu3 because they are the same.

i was lucky... i bought my board saturday for $166. fry's screwed up and marked an opened board down fron $178... I managed to get a new board for that price.

the problem with compusa is that they charge a restocking fee which blows. personally, I hate Fry's but they are cheap and they have a 30 day return policy where they will return just about anything for any excuse.

I think fry's is selling the board for $174.
