Abit nf7-S Rev. 2, should I buy this?

OK so I am building a little xp-m combo for a kid at church so he can game. I already bought a xp-m 2500+. I am looking to get a mobo for it. I have read that the Abit nf7-s Rev. 2 is the best one. I found a refurbished one at Mwave for 39.00 plus shipping. Should I get it, or is there something else that is better for under 50 bucks?

I have built a few systems for my friends using the same board and they have been running flawlessly. The NF7-S Rev 2 is one of the best NF2 boards ever built.

Another extremely happy NF7-S 2.0 owner here (since August 2003). Arguably THE best Socket A motherboard, and the onboard sound is actually VERY good, something you almost never see today. Worth every penny of the $115 I paid for it back then; $39 is a steal.

I had a hard time letting it go when I upgraded to 64-D/C so I keep it handy just in Case...Best Mobo since my Iwill XP333-R

You may want to ask the place you're ordering from if refurb boards still come with all accessories like cables, I/O backplates, etc. If they do come with that stuff, I'd go with the refurb. And even if they're not guaranteed to come with it...I'd probably still recommend the refurb, since you're trying to do a build on the cheap here. The board itself is what's important.

That's a great board from what I have read
only other similar boards I have used are:

Soltek SL-75FRN2-L - amazing for the price.. usual Soltek quality.. highly recommended.
Asus A7N8X-E deluxe - awesome board, more features but more expensive. works great though. recommended.
