Ok here's the situation. Got a pc with the spec below, and a Abit ZM6 mobo, and was installing a Trust 4-port USB hub in the 5.25 bay, and so i removed the (broken) creative 52x CDROM drive and put it in the same place, connected the hub up, and turned the PC on.
Unfortunately, it emitted a very long beep at me, paused, long beeped etc and refused to POST. I removed the USB hub, powered on and the same happened. When i plug the (dead - power still works but doesnt read) CDROM back in, it boots fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks
System spec:
Intel Celeron 400Mhz S370
Abit ZM6 mobo
32Mb ram
52x creative CDROM on IDE2
8.4Gb HDD on IDE1
