GT is a little on edge this morning.
There's nothing a DPC can say that will cause me to have a bad day - no one has that kind of control over me.
Those who claim there is no trolling are smoking something - plain and simple.

We really should look up all the "junior members" with really strange sentence structure... and count 'em up - then the equivalent numbers of TA members join GOT and start swaggering around... hmmm - wonder what kind of whining THAT would produce? - Nah why bother?

I did not leave the forums . I have been lurking around and reading the threads once in a while but I did not write since I had nothing worthwhile to say. That and due to the integration of the company I work for with our new owners is far from over, does not give me the pleasure or the luxury of time to really contribute constructively to this forum.

Anyway, the business with PhF does not bother me, now. I have been keeping my herd healthy with a few new additions. But that is just about as much time I can spare for the time being with the exception of a few posts now and then.

Now about you. You aren't active yourself. What's your excuse ? I visit your stats page everyday and they are not as updated as I wished. Your stats have also dropped. What gives?

First: Irony may not always be that obvious. That's why I prefer instead of (OK, let's blame the new smiley's )

Second: Could it be, perhaps, that because of high expectations both DPC and AT members are getting a little nervous? (most likely DPC is getting more nervous than AT) and this is causing all the tension in this discussion?

Third: True AT/DPC members won't be much (maybe little ) influenced the way I suggested above. Whatever the outcome, they'll respect the true meaning of a fair competition.

As someone mentioned:
We all loved it when Mander was Numero Uno in the dialy stats. All the blocks still went to TA and no one left because of this .

If you have trouble convincing them, just tell them IBM has had a supercomputer for sometime running RC5 and is somewhere in the stats. Don't know where, but maybe someone remembers what I'm talking about????
It would be beyond Compaq's honour to let IBM be the only one running RC5 at high speed on only one computer, isn't it? Give them an account that is especially et up for them to promote the Data Center Servers!

That should do the trick, I think. Just don't forget to use an email addy that you have access to, so you can let the account join TA.
